About ALLYSON MARRS:
Allyson Marrs originally began her writing career as a journalist, specifically as the former Managing Editor for Reflections magazine in Bellevue, WA and Roast magazine in Portland, OR. She’s also penned articles for publications such as Portland Monthly, Seattle Met, Bustle, The Drum, Advertising Week, and others. Allyson joins Broussard Communications after nearly five years working in the strategy, branding, and digital worlds as a project director, communications manager, and copywriter for clients that include Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Mumm Napa, Anchor Brewing, Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, Frank Family Vineyards, and even Ayesha Curry. She’s supported initiatives that span naming, messaging, brand development, design, website creation, copy, and social media planning and management.
Allyson is a proud native Oregonian, and holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon. When she’s not crafting stories for others, she makes up her own by writing fiction, or voraciously reading that dreamt up by others. She’s as comfortable on a hiking trail as she is on the couch, is a Broadway in Portland season ticket holder, a Winterhawks hockey fan, and one of those “Instagram book reviewers.” She lives (and explores the beer scene) in Portland.
